Fall 2012 Vacation in California: Sheraton Ontario Airport

After a good night’s sleep at the Sleep Inn & Suites we checked out and took ourselves to some Denny’s near CA-99 that we had spotted the night before on our way to the Black Angus.
We both ordered iced tea and built our own slams. Karin went for egg whites, a chicken sausage patty, two slices of wheat toast, and a couple wheat pancakes. Of course, I decided to max out and order six items, which were scrambled eggs, a chicken sausage patty, two strips of turkey bacon, hash browns, two slices of wheat toast, and a slice of grilled ham.

It turns out that I don’t have any pictures of this visit to a Denny’s but I guess you know how this stuff looks like 😉

After breakfast we took CA-99 towards I-5 southbound. Near Los Angeles we then turned onto I-10 eastbound to get to Ontario. In Ontario we first got to the Ontario Mills where we again looked to find some stuff for us, family, and friends. We were even successful! At least partially 😉

After some shopping and strolling along in the outlet mall we decided it was time for dinner so we paid another visit to the Black Angus Steakhouse near the Mills. It was the same one where we had been chauffeured to during our stay at the Embassy Suites across the I-10.

Karin ordered a diet pepsi and a glass of merlot to drink, while I went with a diet pepsi and water. We were also served some tasty bread, as always is the case at Black Angus.

Then we ordered some food. Karin had a filet mignon with a loaded baked potato and steak soup, while I had a filet mignon and a large lobster tail with broccoli and a salad. Gosh, was that delicious! And the large lobster tail was indeed large. So much larger than those at Ruby Tuesday.

After our delicious dinner we took the short drive to the Sheraton Ontario Airport which was only a few minutes away.

There were two check in desks, one of them for elite members. However, the computer at the elite desk was down, so we had to check in at the desk for non-elites. This was no problem since the line was very short. Actually, there was just one guest there in front of us.

We were quickly checked in and I was asked which gold amenity I would choose. I decided to take the points, I didn’t need access to the internet. We were assigned room 330.

Entrance to room 330

The room was not mega spacious but roomy enough. When entering the room you find the bathroom on the left side. Straight ahead you get into the actual room with a comfortable king bed on the left and a flat screen tv on the right.

There was also a desk with a comfortable office chair.

The bathroom consisted of a soaking tub with shower head, a toilet, and a sink with enough space to spread out our own toiletries. The provided toiletries included a shampoo, a conditioner, and a lotion.

The water pressure of the shower was excellent and the temperature control was also very good.
